Herbal Allies for Psychological Wellbeing
Facilitated by Billy O'Leary, Earth Commons team member
On Sunday November 15th 1-3 pm
In this workshop we will explore common manifestations and underlying causes of psychological dis-ease and how herbs can assist in supporting your wellbeing.
We will discuss how stress and trauma impact the nervous system and can manifest as or exacerbate an array of conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, C-PTSD, addiction, and even ADHD. We will explore the neurobiology of connection and the critical role it plays in bio-psycho-social-spiritual wellness.
This workshop is intended to foster a deeper connection to nature in general with a specific focus on herbal allies that can assist us in achieving balance in our mental and physical health. Herbs regarded as useful for depression, anxiety, cognition, and stress management will be highlighted.
This workshop is not intended to diagnose or treat mental or physical illness or to replace or discourage the use of prescription medications or treatment by physicians or mental health professionals.
