Our next meet up will be October 18th, from 10 am - 12 pm
in Southeast Austin: 8501 Bluff Springs Rd

Join Marianna in this fun practice of herbalism and stewardship to learn about the local plants growing around us! Learn how to build a reciprocal relationship with the plants around you, in addition to learning the traditional medicinal properties of plants, and tending practices -- cultivate abundance together to keep our ecosystem thriving!

This month we will start by planting a native medicinal landscape, and then move into a short plant walk so see the native plants that are already alive in the area!

This is sacred land that we will return to, we'll have the ability to see these plants chance through the seasons as we care for them in community.

**Come prepared with water(!), sun protection, bug spray, a mug to drink tea, a journal/pen if you'd like to take notes, and anything else you need to be comfortable on a short stroll.**

Xicana herbalist, Marianna Segura (she/they), has been learning from plants her whole life. Native land stewardship and conservation is integral to reclaiming their indigenous roots. They were born and raised in so-called Austin, Tx, and have spent recent years building intentional relationships with plant kin and people alike. This path has landed them at Earth Commons Apothecary, where they practice pairing people with their strongest plant allies through herbal formulations. Decolonial care practices are central in her work and medicine making.
